7 weeks old

Somehow, Ryan has gotten to be 7 weeks old! I knew time would fly and it has...

He does smile some :) I just can't catch it with the camera! Can't wait though...it is SO cute! He is over 12 pounds now and is changing every day. Right now we are working on getting him to take naps in his bed...he on the other hand, would be perfectly content to be held 24/7. And he was a large portion of his early weeks...so many people with so many hands who wanted to hold him! Including his daddy and me! They say you can't spoil a baby this young...but I am not too sure! Oh well, I am glad he likes to cuddle! It's my favorite! But like I said we are working on it and making small progress.

I go back to work in 2 weeks already. I am so thankful to get to bring Ryan with me. I am praying that it works out ok! Hopefully we can do that for 6 weeks or so. Thank God for a job with flexibility.

I am still in awe of this baby! He is such a joy...even when he is crying :)

Merry Christmas

What a great couple days we had celebrating Ryan's first Christmas! Christmas Eve was non-stop action but today was just us at our house. We had visits from grandparents but other than that we had a laid back day just us. We are so thankful that we have Ryan with us this year! Next year, he will be into everything so this year we enjoyed the calm :)

Snow!

What an amazing early Christmas gift! SNOW! I had the perfect day...at home with a sweet baby, fire in the fireplace, Christmas lights on inside and out, wrapping some Christmas gifts and looked up to see snow falling! Oh, and Michael got to come home early so we all got to spend the afternoon together...

3 weeks

Ryan is 3 weeks old already! He is a sweet boy with a big appetite! I was a little worried this past Monday and Tuesday because I would feed and feed him and it would take him FOREVER to get satisfied. We would sit and eat/burp, eat/burp for 1-1/2 hours...seems like a really long time especially since he used to eat for 10 to 20 minutes. I was just worried about over feeding him. I asked a friend about it (thanks Jessica!) and she helped put my mind at ease...probably a growth spurt. I think she was right! Today was a better day and he weighs 9-1/2 pounds now!

We are in the middle of a COLD snap here! LOVE IT! Feels like December :) Today, Ryan and I went to mom and dad's for the day. It was good to get out of the house and it was the first time I drove with Ryan by myself. We did great :)

It's 9 o'clock and I am gonna try to go to bed now! Ryan sleeps so well BEFORE midnight I figure I might want to try to get a couple hours before then too!
