The day...

Today, Ryan's first birthday, Michael and I both took off of work and got to hang out with the birthday boy! We really enjoyed being together. We slept a little late, got to do a few things around the house and ran birthday errands :) One thing the Michael was really looking forward to was getting Ryan his first pair of cowboy boots! They aren't exactly what Michael wanted to get him... real legit cowboy boots won't go on his feet yet because he really needs to be walking before they will work. So we got some "real" looking ones that have velcro in the back :) They are really cute!

Another big event this week was turning the car seat around! He looks so grown up now that he is turned around!

We had a couple of gifts for Ryan to open today...he wasn't that interested in the whole opening thing. That ought to be interesting at his party of Saturday!
We tend to forget to take family pictures on big occasions...and today was no different! I remembered after Ryan was asleep so we went ahead and took one anyway :)
