#1 Mom

Did you know that you should brush your baby's teeth?! This just occurred to me last week! Ryan has 6 teeth that were not brushed until then. The #1 mom title is a HUGE joke! What kind of mom doesn't think to brush their kids teeth?! With all the reading about babies I have done, you would think that I would have picked up on that. Oh well! Hopefully his teeth are not irretrievably damaged! (is that correct English?) (I am being a little dramatic. They seem just fine :)


Ryan would love to feed himself. Problem is, not much makes it into his mouth! That will take a little practice.
We tried to see if he would be interested in eating some green beans that we had torn up. He was not interested...not even a little.
Ryan LOVES the oak tree in our front yard! Every time we step out side, he gets a huge smile on his face when he sees the tree. He loves it when we bring him out to it and let him play with the leaves. I love to see his brain at work. What a miracle.

9 months old!

I failed to write on Ryan's real 9 month birthday :( I didn't have anything new to report so I think I just didn't get around to it! He is getting his 4th tooth on the top (6 teeth overall). Tonight he was actually grinding his teeth! Oh no! We kept checking his mouth to make sure there was nothing in there....just teeth!

This was Ryan last week taking a nap...could he possibly think that he owns the place?!
Michael and I had a date last Saturday evening. We went to Cheddar's and the Casting Crowns concert. Both were so good! We had a great meal and the concert was wonderful...those people are so talented!
Last week my dad had a unfortunate event that involved a raccoon...he might have had to kill one because it was hanging around the back porch and kinda charged mom and Chelle. Please don't call PETA! I think it was necessary...he was worried cause it was acting weird. Have you ever seen Old Yeller?! Need I say more?!! Anyway.....Michael took this as a perfect opportunity to stage a photo with our sweet boy...who was going to spend the day with Grammy, PawPaw and Chelle.

Yes, if you were wondering, this really is Ryan's first BB gun. Michael MIGHT have gotten him a Red Rider BB gun for his first Christmas. Actually, there is no might...he did get him one.

Cousin Day

Yesterday, we had cousin day! Ryan, Chelle and I went over to spend the day with Amy, Kate and Laura! We had a great time! It is so fun that Michael and I both have nieces the same age. They get along really well and could play for days!

When we got there we went and ate pizza for lunch (Have I mentioned how EXTREMELY happy I am that pizza is back on the menu for me to eat now??!!! So thankful it doesn't upset Ryan's tummy anymore!)

Chelle had never been to a wave pool before and she loved it :)

Ryan was sleepy and slept while we held him for at least an hour...I think it was the sound of those waves that were so relaxing!

I love getting a picture of all of our nieces together every year. They are growing up so fast!
Ryan had a mini-meltdown on the way home and Chelle did such a good job trying to make him happy! It was so sweet hearing her try to soothe him. She and Kate will both be in the 3rd grade this year and Laura is 3-1/2...and wears big girl panties now! Good job Laura!

Our July closed without much going on and now our August is underway. It's hot, hot, hot! Big shocker, right?!

He LOVES to clap his toys together and he will squeal and laugh!
Pretty much his favorite thing to do in the world is take our hands with his and clap them together. Does it get any more fun than that?!
