Kumquat

According to BabyCenter.com, one of these is the size of the baby in my belly :)  I am 10 weeks along and we got to hear the heartbeat on Tuesday!  175 beats per minute.  The most beautiful sound I have ever heard!  I think the nurse said it best...when she heard it, she simply said "thank God".  Amen.

My due date is November 25th, the day before Thanksgiving.  We are so excited!  Thank the Lord! We appreciate all you who have been praying for us and we ask that you keep praying!  

Summer's almost here...

and this is my first watermelon of the season!!  AND it is SUPER YUMMY!  I have always loved watermelon.  I have good memories of eating it in my grandparents backyard at the picnic table. My granddaddy loves watermelon too.  He would always have a huge vegetable garden but I don't think he grew watermelons.  I have attempted to twice!  But I failed.  Here is a picture of my watermelon patch last year:

But.....sadly, the bugs got it. And the 4 others that started to grow.  Oh well...it was a waste of time. But I can say that I tried!  

It is so much easier to buy them anyway :)

Unless our changed life is changing the lives of others, our life hasn’t changed enough yet.

This was a point in Pastor Ron's sermon last Sunday.  I have thought of it throughout the week. Does my changed life change others?  I think that is a good question to ask myself everyday. Can't say that I make a huge impact! It is definitely a good thing to challenge myself with...
